Hamsters and rats are often favorites among children's pets. Rodents can be picked up and even taught to sit on your shoulder. Such pets require very little space and are unpretentious - they do not have to be released.

But harmless at first glance, hamsters of the small breeds themselves are able to bite their master. For this reason, it is better to choose larger and friendlier species, such as the Syrian hamster.

As for the rat, it is a very intelligent animal that a child can make friends with, just like with a dog. Such a pet loves different games and is able to learn tricks.

The smallest pets have a special charm. They seem so fragile and charming, and you always want to take care of them. Despite their modest size, these animals have big hearts.
